PVC Foamboard

Formerly listed on our website as Foamex. A solid and strong, yet lightweight material which is extremely versatile. Commonly referred to as Foamex, PVC Foam Board, Foam PVC, Foamalite, Forex or Palite.

Material Overview

• Printed direct to substrate with UV inks
• 3mm or 5mm rigid PVC Foamboard available
• Can be supplied as single or double-sided
• M1/B1 fire-rated to comply with UK and European fire safety standards
• Trimmed sides as standard
• Lightweight and easy to install
• Flexible and durable, can be stuck, screwed, nailed or riveted to any suitable surface
• Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use
• Maximum board size: 2400mm × 1200mm (approx. just under 8ft × 4ft) in one piece

Although the maximum board size is 2400mm × 1200mm (approx. just under 8ft × 4ft) multiple boards can be printed and easily placed side-by-side to increase the image area.

As the PVC Foamboard is lightweight, it can be easily installed with adhesive or strong double-sided tape as well as having the durability to be screwed straight through.

Our PVC Foamboard is printed with a VUTEk h5, direct to substrate with UV inks.

As with any foam-based products, please be aware of possible expansion in heated conditions and direct sunlight. If there is no room for expansion (if it is within a frame) this can cause the product to warp.

Standard product tolerance is expansion of up to 5mm per linear metre

Finishes Available for PVC Foamboard

Below are the standard finishes available for this material.

• Trimmed to Size

  Boards will be cut to the size ordered with one of our Zünd cutting machines.

  There is no charge for this finish.

• Cut to Shape

  Boards will be machine-cut to required shape with one of our Zünd cutting machines.

  Please note, there is an additional cost of £25 for each shape cut on rigid materials.

• Gloss Lamination

  Also used as anti-graffiti.

  An additional charge of £9 per square metre applies.

  Dry-Wipe Lamination

  Designed solely for use with dry-erase marker pens. Has a glossy finish.

  An additional charge of £12 per square metre applies.

  Please note that matt lamination is no longer available.

• Drilled Holes

  Boards can have drilled holes added, which will be machine-drilled by our Zünds.

  Standard corner-only drilled holes can be ordered via our website for a nominal charge of £2 per item.

  Our standard setup is four 5mm diameter holes (one in each corner), positioned 15mm from the edges.

• Rounded Corners

  Boards can have rounded corners added, which will be machine-cut/routed by our Zünds.

  Standard 10mm radius for all four rounded corners can be ordered via our website for a nominal charge of £2 per item.

• Drilled Holes with Rounded Corners

  Boards can have drilled holes and rounded corners added together, which will be machine-cut/routed by our Zünds.

  This is a combined finish at a nominal charge of £4 per item

  Please bear logistics in mind when planning your PVC Foamboard order and feel free to ask our advice. The rule of thumb is that large boards could need to be delivered by dedicated courier or by large pallet, which increases delivery costs substantially. Please call for more information on this.
